Description
PartyCaption is an add-on for the partypoker client and other clients on the bwin.party network. It doesn’t play for the user or suggest decisions: it extends the table interface with its own info panels and simplifies routine actions that would otherwise have to be done manually in the standard client. The tool has been around since 2012 and is on partypoker’s list of permitted software.
One of its main functions is converting every amount at the table into big blinds. Stacks, bets, the pot, and button labels can be shown in blinds instead of money or chips, so there’s no need to convert amounts in one’s head. On top of that comes its own HUD: the table shows pot odds, effective stack, SPR, player positions, each player’s action history in the current hand, a blind timer, and dozens of other values.
The second major part of the tool is action control. Hotkeys can be assigned to any keyboard key or mouse button, including side buttons and clicks in different quadrants of the table: check-fold, call, bet-raise, all-in, rebuy, sit out on all tables, close table, and switch between tables. The bet size is set with the mouse wheel or with custom bet buttons placed right on the table, which calculate the size in blinds, as a percentage of the pot, or as a multiple of the opponent’s bet.
A separate set of features is built for multitabling and tournaments. The table manager arranges windows according to predefined layouts and rearranges them as tables open and close, while colored borders highlight tables by blind level, stack size, buy-in, or turn to act. The SnG and Spins registrators automatically sign the player up for tournaments based on set conditions, rebuy, bust-out, and win dialogs close on their own, and the advanced tournament lobby gathers information on all tournaments in one window.
The tool has no hand database of its own: it doesn’t collect opponent stats or build reports on played hands, and all HUD values are calculated from the current table. For opponent stats, the tool sends data to Hand2Note, and then a full-featured tracker HUD runs on the table alongside the PartyCaption panels.
