Description
OmahaPro is a browser-based preflop trainer for four-card and five-card Pot-Limit Omaha. It’s built around three modules: a range reference, decision training, and progress stats. The app doesn’t connect to poker clients or collect hand histories — it’s a standalone environment for studying preflop between sessions.
Omaha has orders of magnitude more starting hands than Hold’em: over 270,000 versus 1,326 combinations in Hold’em. Memorizing that many as a list is impossible, so the hands are organized into a matrix by type and category — paired and unpaired, single-suited and double-suited, rainbow and monotone. Each cell is colored by the recommended action, and hands that are always folded from a given position are highlighted separately, so the bottom of the range can be read at a glance.
Solutions are calculated for specific game conditions. The user chooses the game type (cash or tournament), stake, effective stack, and rake structure, with PokerStars and GGPoker options available. This matters in Omaha: rake significantly changes the profitability of weaker hands, and a range for one room isn’t the same as a range for another. Both heads-up spots and multiway pots are covered, and two different spots can be shown side by side on one screen for direct comparison.
In the training module, the app deals a hand under the chosen conditions, asks for an action, and immediately shows the EV of every option and the hand’s weight in the range. Smart Mode removes obvious hands that are never played and keeps re-serving misplayed hands until the answer is correct. The full range can be opened right during training, so a mistake is reviewed not in isolation but in the context of its hand group.
Stats are tracked automatically: best all-time score, average over the last thirty days, total number of answers, and longest streak of correct decisions. The app runs entirely in the browser with no installation and works the same on Windows and macOS computers and on Android and iOS phones and tablets. A subscription also includes access to the Discord community.
