Description
GTO+ is a No-Limit Hold’em solver — software that mathematically works out the optimal way to play a hand. The user sets the starting conditions: both players’ ranges, the board, the pot and stack sizes, the bet sizes that are allowed. The program then finds the strategy in which neither side can improve its result by changing its play unilaterally. The output is not a single “correct move” but a set of frequencies: a c-bet 62% of the time and a check the other 38%, for example.
The program runs on the user’s own computer and needs no connection to outside services. Everything is calculated locally, and speed depends above all on the number of physical CPU cores. Finished solutions are saved as compact files, which can be built into a personal library of studied spots and compared with one another.
A particular strength is the set of built-in analysis tools. The starting-hand matrix, frequency and equity tables, range-versus-range comparison, graphs and aggregate reports covering dozens or hundreds of flops are all available inside the program, with no need to export data elsewhere. A solution can be edited as well as viewed: lock a deliberately flawed strategy for the opponent and see how the optimal response changes.
There is also a training mode: the program deals hands from the solved tree, plays the opponent according to the solution it found, and shows how far the user’s decisions differ from the benchmark. That turns the solver from a reference book into a trainer, which is especially useful at the start of studying theory.
The license is bought once and never expires, and all further updates are included in the price. The program can be downloaded and run for free before buying — part of the functionality is unavailable in free mode, but the interface and the workflow can be judged at no cost.
