Description

Simple Postflop is a Texas Hold’em solver from the Simple Poker team. The software calculates equilibrium (GTO) strategies for pots where two players remain. The user sets the board, effective stack, pot size, hand ranges, and bet sizes, and the software builds the game tree and finds a strategy that neither player can profit from deviating from. For each hand, it shows action frequencies, EV (expected value), and equity.

Turn and river calculations are free and fast: the turn takes seconds, the river a fraction of a second. This makes it possible to review hands on later streets before buying a license, and leaves time to get comfortable with the interface. Local flop and preflop calculations are unlocked with the Standalone license.

A particular strength of the software is working with many flops at once. The board generator creates flop sets by texture type, and the built-in subsets of 25, 74, and 184 flops give a picture of play across all 1,755 strategically distinct flops without solving every one of them. Solutions for different flops can be merged into one, and EV aggregation shows how much each hand earns on average in the selected preflop branch.

Simple Postflop also solves preflop for two players: with antes or dead money in the pot, with any input ranges, and taking into account play on the flops of the chosen subset. Simple preflop trees are solved locally, while for complex ones the developer offers calculation on a server cluster paid for in Preflop Points. Ready-made preflop solution packs for SNG, MTT, and cash games are also available.

For deeper analysis there is node locking: the user assigns the opponent a specific strategy that differs from equilibrium and gets the best response to it. The software accounts for capped rake and ICM, supports both no-limit and limit Hold’em, and offers several solving algorithms — from memory-efficient ones for weaker computers to the fastest ones for powerful machines.

Pricing

Simple Postflop is free to download, while extended calculations and ready-made solutions are paid for separately:

  • Free version — $0: turn and river calculations on the developer's servers (internet connection required), three solved flops from John Juanda's book, and sample preflop solutions.

  • Standalone — $299: local flop and preflop calculations with no limit on their number, activation on 2 computers.

  • Ready-made solution packs — from $149.99 to $349.99 per pack: solved preflop trees together with flops for heads-up SNG, cash, 6-max, and MTT.

  • Custom preflop calculation — complex trees are solved on the developer's servers, with each calculation paid for separately in Preflop Points.

In addition to bank cards, the license can be paid for in cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC) through Simple Poker support.

Simple Postflop can be downloaded for free and used right away to review hands on the turn and river, while the Standalone license adds flop and preflop solving.
