Description

Statname is an online database of cash-game player stats for Hold’em and Omaha. Unlike conventional trackers that build a HUD from a player’s own hand history, the service pulls data from a shared pool of hands collected across several networks since 2013. That means getting stats on an opponent doesn’t require ever sitting at a table with them or having a personal hand database — just their nickname.

A player profile opens in a fraction of a second and holds more than a hundred stats: how often a player enters the pot and raises, how they respond to 3-bets and 4-bets, and postflop and showdown numbers. The data is broken down by table position, stake, game format (heads-up, six-max, full ring), and month, so you can see not just an opponent’s “average” style but how they’ve been playing more recently.

To speed up lookups, there’s a browser extension called AutoPaste: copy an opponent’s nickname and their stats page opens automatically, with no need to type it into the site by hand. The service also works alongside third-party nickname-insertion utilities used on specific networks.

Statname is useful on two levels. When choosing a table, the data helps you quickly judge which table has more weak, losing players and which one is stacked with strong regulars. Once you’re seated, stats on a specific opponent point to their weaknesses — for example, folding too often to repeated pressure, or rarely 3-betting strong hands.

The service covers seven poker networks and keeps growing its hand pool, so on popular networks it has stats on the vast majority of active cash-game players. Keep the limitations in mind too: the service doesn’t cover fast-fold formats (Zoom and similar) and doesn’t track tournaments — it’s built specifically for classic cash games.

Pricing

Access to stats at NL/PL/PLO 25 is free on every supported network with no time limit. On top of that, new users get a few free player lookups per day after registering, regardless of stake or network.

A paid subscription is purchased separately for each poker network, and each one has several tiers — the higher the top stake it unlocks, the higher the price:

  • PokerStars, 888poker, CHICO — $10.50 to $36 per month;

  • GGPoker (PokerOK) — $10.50 to $36 per month;

  • WPN (Winning Poker Network, PokerKing, Americas Cardroom, Black Chip Poker) — $9 to $30.50 per month;

  • iPoker (RedStar, BetFair, Champion Poker) — $9 to $30.50 per month;

  • PokerBROS — $5 to $15 per month.

Subscribing for several months at once earns a discount off the base monthly price, and the discount grows with the subscription length. Payment is accepted by card, through digital payment systems, and in cryptocurrency.

It's worth starting with the free NL/PL/PLO 25 tier — that's enough to see how well Statname's stats fit into your own game prep before moving up to higher stakes.
